day 10: tim & kristi

 tim & kristi

let me tell you a little something about tim & kristi
they are amazing!

at the last minute admiral's dog sitter fell through
tim & kristi never hesitated to take on a third dog in their home
admiral
and did i mention kristi is pregnant battling morning sickness?

admiral had a blast playing with haley (their 8 month old yellow lab)
and hero (their chihuahua)
hero and haley (haley is much younger here)

tim even took admiral out in his boat!
(admiral has never been in a boat)

it is because of friends like tim and kristi
that my life is a little sweeter

everyone should be so blessed to have friends like these two

day 9: glass bottom boats

today i am thankful for glass bottom boats
thick glass bottom boats to be exact

while in freeport, bahamas
mimi, george and i participated in a glass bottom boat tour.
kenneth choose to go fishing

while on the tour we saw some interesting things both above the water and below

the beautiful water

fishing in the bahamas..not the fishing kenneth did

starting to see some of the coral

breathtaking

we even got to feed the fish

remember how earlier i said i am especially grateful for thick glass bottom boats.....

reason one

reason two

reason three. sharks.

and lots of them.

besides sharks, fishermen who snorkel and use coolers to fish, and beautiful water
on this particular day
freeport was graced by a beautiful woman
who gives selflessly
and loves whole heartily:
my mimi!

who i am very thankful for

days 8: towel animals

when you cruise you are greeted every night with towel animals.
our first animal: a dog!

kenneth was so intrigued by these towel animals he purchased a book
and attempted to make his own

the dog he made for our stewardess

the cow he made

for those who choose to visit us in italy
rest assure you will be greeted by a towel animal
made with love by kenneth

so on this particular day i am thankful for towel
 animals
there's just something about them that makes you smile.

Day 7: big boats

Some people might call us crazy for taking a vacation three weeks or so prior to our big move
And two days ago i would agree with them

However today as I was greeted by a beautiful boat I realized eveeryone should be a little crazy

This vacation as been a blessing

For two days i haven't thought about renting the house selling the motorcycle getting my visa or any other streessors that come along with PCSing (civilian term: moving)

This big boat has created an environment for kennehh and i to reconnect and act like husband and wife instead of team mates conquering a to do list.

Today we set sail for 7 days returning next Sunday. So for days 8-13 i will have go catch up later. Bon voyage!

day 6: big buses

i am thankful for big buses!

ok so this isn't a picture of our bus, because i was so excited i failed to get a picture of our bus

why?
to get to the ocean from oklahoma you have two options
1) fly
2) drive

we decided to drive
and drive we did
accompanied by 48 adults
including my wonderful mimi and george
we were the youngest by at least 30 years

village tours was our tour guide
this is the first time kenneth and i have participated in a tour like this

let me tell you they take of you!
we were greeted with danishes and coffee.
the bus seats were accessorised with a box of goodies and snacks.

what was left after 6 hours on the road

the bus was equipped with 110 volt plugs to ensure all iPods, ipads, or whatever device you bring on board stays charged.

so as we say goodbye to day 6 and hello to daylight savings time
i must say i am very thankful for big busses
filled with wonderful people

did i mention the buses have bathrooms!?
