in seven days

i will be married

for 

seven years

since i am feeling slightly sentimental

it could be the cold and sinus medicine 

i'm taking

and because

seven years of marriage

is

something to be proud of

every year of marriage

is 

something to be proud of

i decided to post

seven

wonderful pictorial

memories

of the last 

seven years

chickasha lights 2003

so 2003 is when we were dating

but

anyone who is from oklahoma

knows 

chickasha is the place to be

around 

christmas

and we've had so many good memories

during 

christmas

and 

enjoying the lights at chickasha

our first home 2004

stationed in colorado springs

was 

my first introduction to 

military life

i look back at this duty station

and

think

"wow how our marriage has grown" 

and

"couldn't they just give us sod?!?"

that is a totally different story

2006

was 

our first deployment

and that lead to 

our first homecoming!!!

our wedding

in 2008

yes 

i know 

we've been married seven years

we waited to have our ceremony

wanted to make sure it was 

'worth the money'

just kidding...

it's a military thing... 

don't worry about it. 

we bought our first home

in 2009

that same year we got a blizzard

yes, oklahoma gets blizzards

she handled the snow drifts

quite well

enjoying ou football

in 2010

enjoying sooner football 

is one of our favorite past times

over the years

and finally

falling in love all over again

in italy.

so there is our life

in seven

well eight 

but 

deployments

need 

homecomings

it was very difficult 

to just choose seven

in seven days

we will celebrate 

seven years

and

i couldn't be happier

enough mushy stuff for the day!

today

we got lost

in italy!

and it was great!!

we choose to take 

the 

'non-toll'

roads

to 

padova

home of ikea!!

the first town...

mira was a nice town

it sat along the canal

and

had market today!

so it was a 

hoppin'

little town!!

second stop

was

dolo, italy

dolo 

also sat on the canal

it was another quiet town

that was littered with bicycles

i dreamed 

of 

a 

romantic getaway

to this town

but

we aren't 

romantic getaway type of people

i digress..

our third stop

was

stla, italy

it was by far

the largest

town we went through

and 

look who we saw

just kidding!

although

this town 

was not as quiet

as the previous two

i would not object 

to a weekend getaway

this will be a true test

to see if my wonderful hubby reads my blogs!

today

we took the back roads

avoided the autostrada

forgot about high gas prices

and

got slightly lost

but

we found ikea

its days like this 

i look around in amazement

and 

say

"i live in italy!"

smiling the entire time!

for my birthday

i ordered

to find a place for dinner

and

make a reservation

were having a girls night

and actually be close enough to have dinner with them?

we met

were already residents of italy

because we looked

and yet again i am laughing

and 

offered to scan in the manual

i didn't take her up on the offer

that's too much work!

but did ask a lot of questions

ever since that post

we've been in correspondence

via

email

and 

blogging

so

it was only natural

for us to meet

and her to meet

four other strange women!

so ms.d, ms. a, the captain, and ms. b 

met

for sushi

yes i know we are in italy

and

eating sushi

the night was grand

the conversation was great

and

even though

most of us

had met each other 

for

the very first time

we clicked

like 

long time girl friends

thank you to these wonderful ladies

for making my first girl's night in italy

so special

i can't wait for the next!
