of using it

i thought

i was a 

washer and dryer

pro

then

we got our 

washer and dryer

from 

fmo

a silly military acronym

don't worry about the meaning

it doesn't effect the story

meet

our new 

crazy washer and dryer

from afar

she looks pretty normal

and so does the dryer

but wait...

let's get a closer look...

the washer.....

um....

what language is this?!?

the dryer...

excuse me?

ok 

i know i should be grateful

just to have a

 washer

and 

a

dryer.

but 

it's in dutch

yes

friends

dutch

and 

the instruction manual 

is in dutch

i know its been awhile since i've been stateside

but if i recall correctly

we put all our instruction manuals 

in at least two languages

sometimes three

english, spanish, and french

give an american a break!

the nice man from fmo

who was wearing an OU hat by the way!

gave us some roughly translated instructions

then left by saying,

"i don't speak dutch so...."

last time i checked neither did i.

i have yet to ruin any laundry

knock on wood

and

i am not only learning italian

but 

i'm quickly learning dutch

at least dutch words for laundry.

so what's been going on the past week

a lot!

monday our stuff came

and frankly as excited as i was to see it

i was very disappointed in the complete chaos of the packing job

tuesday 

we started to unpack

wednesday 
fmo came

fmo is another one of those military acronymous

pretty much we got a washer and dryer

in dutch

a microwave

and our wardrobes

yippee!
thursday 
internet and phone was connected!
however it takes 24-48 hours to activate
it's always domani in italy
(domani-tomorrow)
now today!
friday!
yippee!
so in all my giddiness 
to be connected to the world again
i've failed to organize a single blog post
i want to blog about everything
my bed
the wine
the washer and dryer
our stuff
the crazy german shepherd next door
the lack of electricity
but 
i will refrain 
and simply end this blog
with a few pictures
and 
make you come back tomorrow!
