aviano on a clear day

the fog in aviano

can be

unpredictable

sometimes

its

clear as day

and moments later

you can't see past your finger tips.

recently 

we had a gorgeous

clear day

so 

i took pictures 

you can thank me later

because i know initially 

you will be jealous you are not here too

beautiful.

i find the mountains to be breathtaking.

i find my boys to be breathtaking as well!

i must say they are handsome.

the city on the hill

that's what they called it, really!

even the water is clear.

water so clear i saw this trout jumping

he was a beauty.

i wanted to catch him by hand and fillet him right there.

but kenneth restrained me.

is breathtaking

on foggy days

you feel like you are in sleepy hollow

which makes for some excitement.

 we are still searching for our 

"routine"

but on clear days

i secretly wish 

i never find a routine

and can spend

hours 

wandering the mountains

i've enjoyed 

during our first week in aviano

tiramisu

it's always nice to offset tiramisu 

with a healthy choice

chocolate. all of it.

you are only in italy once! enjoy!

i promise i did not lay on the ground and drink straight from the tap.

i could not choose just one.

simply delicious.

i will become a coffee drinker by the end of our tour.

i must admit though

as delicious and 

elegant as the food is here

i had an 

"american" day yesterday

that consisted of

burger king for breakfast

mcdonald's for lunch

and 

steak and potatoes for dinner

sometimes you just need a taste of home 

so 

while 

you salivate over the pictures

i will increase my waist line

a few inches

and enjoy the 

wonderful food of italy!

thankful thursday:gps

it's a little silly

i know

to be thankful for a gps

but let me tell you

after one day of house hunting

i am extremely

indept to our borrowed garmin

our gps is tucked away in our household goods

a tip for anyone who is pcsing soon

do not ship your gps!

housing office does have many gps

to loan out

however

with your own gps

you can start

plugging in your

favorite locations

like how to find the main gate.

today

our garmin

has been used and abused.

i feel sorry for her

however,

she is still talking to me

i think her favorite words are "recalculating route"
