the crazy washer and dryer part duo

last month
i posted
about
in
tlf

after
twenty days
of using it
i thought
i was a
washer and dryer
pro

then
we got our
washer and dryer
from
fmo
a silly military acronym
don't worry about the meaning
it doesn't effect the story

meet
our new
crazy washer and dryer

from afar
she looks pretty normal

and so does the dryer

but wait...
let's get a closer look...
the washer.....
um....
what language is this?!?

the dryer...
excuse me?

ok
i know i should be grateful
just to have a
 washer
and
a
dryer.

but
it's in dutch
yes
friends
dutch
and
the instruction manual
is in dutch
i know its been awhile since i've been stateside
but if i recall correctly
we put all our instruction manuals
in at least two languages
sometimes three
english, spanish, and french
give an american a break!

the nice man from fmo
who was wearing an OU hat by the way!
gave us some roughly translated instructions
then left by saying,
"i don't speak dutch so...."
last time i checked neither did i.

i have yet to ruin any laundry
knock on wood
and
i am not only learning italian
but
i'm quickly learning dutch
at least dutch words for laundry.

  1. I have the same dryer! Somehow we were lucky and got both a brand new washer and dryer. Mine looks more updated than your dryer, but it has the same settings. I have a manual and it's in English! It doesn't tell you much though. If you go down two notches to the right, that's the one I use. I experimented with them and that was the best. Take about 45min to an hour for a load to dry though. Let me know if you want that manual anyway, I can make copies!
